Our dedicated social workers provide holistic support to individuals living with end-stage kidney failure and their whānau. It all begins with a compassionate in-home assessment, which is a chance for us to sit down together, understand your unique needs and goals, and plan the best path forward, tailored just for you.

From making the most of your dialysis, nutrition, and medication, to supporting you in staying active, mobile, independent, and positive, we’re here to help. Our qualified wellness educator works closely with you to find physical activities that suit your needs and lifestyle, supporting you in your wellness journey.

Social work support
Having dialysis treatment at home gives you more control over your schedule and your life. However, for some, having a machine at home isn’t possible. That’s why the Kidney Society offers a great alternative: dialysis in a comfortable “home away from home.” In partnership with Middlemore Hospital, we provide three community dialysis houses conveniently located across South Auckland.
