Kidney Society Auckland understands the importance the community places on the preservation of confidentiality of individuals’ private and/or sensitive information. As a result, the Society is bound by, and fully committed to supporting, the Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Act 1993. This sets out guidelines which control how organisations should treat personal and/or sensitive information they collect, use, handle or store.

Personal information collected from this website, or as a result of direct mail campaigns, will be held by the Auckland District Kidney Society of 5 Swaffield Road, Papatoetoe, Auckland 2025. The information will only be used for the primary purpose for which it was collected. The Society will not sell, or exchange, or release, personal information about an individual for commercial gain.

In accordance with the legislation, the Society takes reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, complete and up-to-date. The Society also takes reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information collected and held on an individual through the website, or direct mail initiatives of the Foundation, is accessible to them on request.
